Geared up for some Indie Music for the start of the year? Check this out…
With this release, the boys wound up actually creating the CD of the Millennium (and so early in). “We didn’t mean to,” report the young svengalis. “Sorry we ruined it for the other bands.”… More >>

To be an indie artist or musician, it requires more than just passion and talent. What’s needed is a mindset ready to work on those gifts and put time in achieving your dreams. You would also need to learn from other fellow musician, artists, singers…. and also possess an equipment. There are also books and reference material to help you learn and excel.
If you know of someone who has envisioned to be an indie musician and don’t know where to begin, Guitar For Dummies Acoustic Guitar Starter Pack (Guitar, Book, Audio CD, Gig Bag)
is the easiest and most convenient way to learn how to play the acoustic guitar. This pack provides everything you need to start playing guitar–all in one box! Included in the pack are a Kona acoustic guitar, gig bag, digital tuner, 3 picks and the top-selling “Guitar Basics For Dummies” book with CD. In my opinion, this is an inexpensive way to learn. Great for those who can’t afford to go for guitar instruction or classes.
People selling whole life insurance can tell you that it takes them years to finally witness the fruit of their labour. So to be an indie musician or artist, you need to get ready to put the hard work of learning coupled with determination.

I’ve paying more attention on my health in the last few years, now that age is catching up with me, but I have begun to realize that health is more important than all the other pursuits in life. My mom used to focus alot on her work life and did little to observe her health and when she reached her senior years, her joints started deteriorating.
Well, my mom used to love indie music and I recalled following her to some solo performances of indie artists. I suppose I grew to develop this passion and interest over time. She’s no longer as fit as before but at least she starts taking some supplements for her joints such as chondroitin glucosamine. Walking regularly and exercising her joints are great to keep her joints healthy, though I think she should pay more attention to her diet too.
Technology has made it possible for us to download and purchase indie music and enjoy them in our iPods, phones, home or workplace. Though I’m not an artist, I hope that the indie music movement will continue to grow in the near future.

It can be hard finding the right support for those who decide to embrace an indie lifestyle, whether in music or fashion. Indie musicians are often seeking for an audience who appreciates music and individuality. You often hear indie music in artist cafes or lifestyle areas where art and music is being promoted.

For instance, you may be an indie musician looking to promote your own or your group’s upcoming performance. You need all the promotional collaterals like brochures, posters and flyers. For indie musicians, they usually resort to recording their performance with digital camcorders for archival and portfolio reasons. What if you wanna print some CD covers for your album during your show and sometimes, this can be expensive and hard cos printing companies may not entertain small orders. How about duplicating your CD or DVD at short notice in the the quantities you need for promotion? Whatever you need as an indie musician, indy pendy is the site you need to get your promotional support. Need CD Duplication fast? 100 full color discs for $99. 24 hr turnaround – Nationwide!

One of the most relaxing things to do on a long weekend is to enjoy some indie music in a cafe and catch up with some good friends.
I kinda miss doing that eversince I got so tied up with work and parenting. Years ago, I used to visit this local cafe where indie artists gathered and shared their creative stories. It was inspiring just to behold new ideas and listen to creative music.
When I was in the States five years ago, my brother in law took me to a nice indie pub with his Frisco Dentist friend. It was casual, light hearted and cosy. I only wish there are more of this kind of cafes in town these days. But with thanks to technology, indie artists can now share their music and passion online to more people. There is no better time to experience better music and art in this 21st century.

The internet is a vast of information for everyone of all ages. People use it to search from indie clothing to indie music, from organic living forum to outdoor forums.
Personally, I used it both for leisure and work. For business, it’s used for research and lots of promotional activities. For leisure, it’s for my passion in indie clothing, health matters, exercise, fitness and more. Basically, the search engines are powerful enough to bring back any kind of information and material you need including online videos, photos, chatting and social networking.
What do you use the internet for?

My hubby gave me a wonderful idea of what I can do to make this site an interesting one. Since the word ‘indie’ is often used among indie music and indie artists, he’s suggesting that I should include music related items into my site.
In the next one week, I’ll be researching more of his suggestions besides searching for insurance quote for our family. Though I’m not a musician myself, I’ve always long to learn how to play a guitar or a musical instrument. With so many budding indie artists out there, the world of music will continue to grow no matter how tough times may be. My research for this indie blog continues…

The weekends are here again! As much as it’s going to be a nice break, it’s going to be a busy one! This weekend, hubby has agreed to attend an indie music festival with me
Though I’m not a musician myself, i enjoy listening to indie music and promoting great indie bands. We’ll be heading to Phuket this May with a group of friends and I’m looking forward to pick out and hopping into indie music performances in a friend’s campus. Before I gorge too much during the trip, i probably need to bring along some diet products to keep myself from putting on too many pounds! We’ve found some great Phuket hotel deals so that means we can use the savings for some great shopping too!
So I’m geared up for my indie music festival and can’t wait to grab another indie cd home.

Exploring indie music is never my forte thus I find it hard to redefine the topic of this blog. For a long time, I’ve been thinking about defining the theme but still, the search has been hard.
Independent music is a nice subject to talk about so it’s one possibility. I was shopping for Rackmount monitor the other day and saw a festival on indie music featuring indie artists. So yes, I can transform this blog to indie music, independent artists, clothing indie and stuff pertaining to indie movement. Somehow this term ‘indie’ is not commonly used now and people love to relate ‘indie’ to a movement. Let’s see how my search for ‘indie’ goes. It is a nice domain and I would like to make good use of it.
Any indie ideas out there?

In just one week’s time, we are into the second month of 2009 – how fast! I believe most people are still working out on their new year resolutions and the ladies are probably finding out ways to get in shape like reading about diet stuff, female fat burner and fitness plans.
As for me, I’m thinking about launching an indie music store in months to come. It will be great to promote indie music and encourage more indie artists to share their talents to those who appreciate indie music and art. As such, I’ll be researching into this area in the next few months and gather the resources to help me get started.
