I just put up a new indie lifestyle category in the Indie Fashion Store and in it, you will find contemporary furniture pieces like the infamous LoveSac, which is a favourite among those who want to relax in comforts.

After a hard day’s work, all I want is to put up my legs, have a sip of cuppa and spend time with my children. A LoveSac is great cos we can slumber together on the huge beanbag couch and watch a good show together, even if it’s a children’s show! For me, it’s not so much of the show but the meaning behind this intimate time spent, it’s quality time, as you may like.

You can also find various kinds of modern furniture that can entice you to a relaxation mode after a long day. I have finally got round to changing the header of this blog that centers around indie lifestyle, clothing and fashion. Due to my busy schedule and frequent procrastination, I have been putting up with the theme header for a long time and I’m so glad it’s done now.

One other addition to the indie fashion store is the ‘fashion tees‘ category which features unique and artistic t-shirts for adults and kids from Uneetee. The tees can be worn by both men and women and they are all creatively designed by indie designers from around the web. I stumbled upon the fashion tees when I was doing my research nutrition and weight loss pills. The tees are different, psychedelic, punk, arty and cool. They made great birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, anniversary gifts, graduation gifts or just as a surprise gift.

Shopping for nice stylish indie tops can be hard when you don’t know where to head. Today, I’m picking another indie label from our Indie Fashion Store and this time, let’s take a look at some women’s tops.

I’ve always love comfy , light and casual tops that aren’t pretentious or complicated. Simplicity is the key to indie fashion and I do appreciate those with a touch of uniqueness and individuality. Fair enough, everyone has his own taste when it comes to clothing. When we were renovating, it took both hubby and myself a couple of weeks to select the faucets we wanted for our house – we both had such differing views and tastes!

When it comes to choosing an unique gift for a girl friend, I tend to browse through the indie accessories collection for a start. I prefer to choose gifts that are creative and different. It makes the recipient happy and it makes my day too.

Though I’m not so big on gold jewelry, this piece of indie accessory is a lovely piece that catches my attention. In the last post, we featured UglyFish Organics and their fun philosophy when it comes to designing kiddies fashion. Honestly, I still like the cool name of this brand and it complements what Indie Fashion is all about in the world of creativity.

For a long time, I am a big fan of nice cool indie bags and this post, I would like to feature Urth Bags for the travel bugs. All my friends know that I am a great supporter of health travel and I’m also particular about choosing the right bags when I go on vacation. So who is Urth Bags and what are they known for? In my line of work, I get to meet all kinds of people and on one occasion, I had a learning session with a few Mesothelioma doctors who shared with me the facts of mesothelioma. This is something many people aren’t familiar about and I am glad to gain some understanding from these professionals.

So back to the feature for this post. My son has recently been talking to me about buying a cute raincoat for him. Though I know the request has nothing to do with the weather, I still did some search to satisfy his asking. Last weekend, we gathered a few friends and went for an outdoor adventure in the forest. It was great fun! It reminded me of the indie lifestyle that I used to lead before becoming a parent. What’s even more cool was that we got together during the break and a talented musician friend was strumming the guitar with his indie songs.

Few of our friends enjoy their indie lifestyle and they are known for trekkers, creative artists and travelers. It was great to learn about their expeditions in all their indie travels. One of them is a physical trainer who is always seen with his Kettlebell dumbbells but he had so much to share regarding his indie travels in Asia.

I got the chance to introduce The Indie Fashion Store to them since they were asking about where they could shop for Indie bags and clothing. Finally, the long awaited task of getting my indie clothing store is finally done! In the last week, I have been busy selecting and adding the right products for my indie fashion store and I’m really glad that it is now live!

After much search in the web, I have picked out a few indie designer and lifestyle merchants with nice designs and cool products. For now, you will find many indie dresses from ModCloth and I’ll be adding the jewelry and gift items in the next few days. I have also included organic clothing, green clothing, hemp clothing and eco friendly products in the store and most of them are designed and produced by indie designers and artists.

Indie artists should be supporters of eco friendly products and we should play our part to protect Mother Earth. I am impressed by many indie jewelry designers who tap on their creative potential and use recycled materials for their jewelry pieces. This is an innovative way to promote eco friendliness and a responsible way to display creativity.

In fact, we try to support independent companies these days even when it comes to making decisions on auto insurance quotes, we prefer to work with family run firms instead of conglomerates. There are many indie companies that need our support in the offline and online world.
