Ten years ago, I was all set up to learn bear making so that I could surprise my boyfriend with a hand sewn bear. After three months, I crafted my first bear for his birthday. I was proud of myself that I actually made a bear though I never did completed my second bear – the motivation wasn’t strong anymore. I guess my passion wasn’t strong enough too!

When I saw this Bridger Bear a Montana Ted at Etsy (by EastBenchBears), I was reminded of how meaningful it was to give a handmade bear for a gift. Though they may not be ideal toys for younger kids, they are sure to charm girls and teens. I have to agree that bridger bear was birthed in a beautiful place as shown in the picture above. If you care to adopt her, head down to EastBenchBears store.

As a parent, I believe that children should be exposed to different skills and activities, indoor and outdoor. As much as it’s good to educated them and develop them intellectually, one should not over emphasized on academics and neglect the other areas that will bring growth to their inner selves.
I’m thinking about sending my kid for art and craft classes – clay making, ceramics, painting, drawing or even technical workshops. Children learn best at play. But if you are not so creative in keeping your child occupied and happy, one of these manfred mantis playsets will be a great idea! With a mixture of fun filled adventures like a swing, climbing swings and slides, the playset will be a great babysitter. For craftmaking parents, you may have time to do more crafts for your indie business.
