My little boy has been asking us for a pet and we told him that he can have one when he is old enough to care for his puppy.

A friend of mine bought a dog for his girl when she was seven years old and it was a bad decision. She was too young to look after pets at that age and her poor dog was suffering from all kinds of stress including fleas, mange
and all kinds of skin problems. I personally feel that her parents should know that she’s too young to care for her pet at that age and the pet gift had done more harm than good for the family. It’s a sad thing for the kids too!

Most children like to get involved with art and craft at some point of their childhood. Children are curious beings who like to explore and try new things. It’s hard to keep a new thing away from little ones.

I have a big collection of papers and craft materials that I collect and accumulate over the years and I like to look at them once in a while. I used to collect metal punch, ink stamps and stencils. It’s nice exploring with various craft tools. I hope that one day I can inspire my little one to get his hands on craft. It’s much better than electronic stuff all the time.

This is the second time I have been away from mom for a long time. In the past, I would still go home to see her every 2-3 months but now that we had moved down under, I have not seen her for eight months!

Her birthday is coming soon. I’ve been thinking what should I get for her big day. Since I can’t be home celebrating with her, I thought I could send flowers from ProFlowers and it would be a nice surprise for her. Though she isn’t into flowers, it would be a nice gesture for her. I’m not sure if she would appreciate it but maybe a flower hamper might be a good balance as there would be something she can remember from the gift!

It was amazing to hear about his past and how he had overcome some addictions successfully! He told us about his experience with residential rehab treatment facility and how that had helped him. It is encouraging to know that there are so many good options for people struggling with addictions in today’s modern age and society. I hope that with these facilities, more families can encourage their loved ones with addiction issues to look into them on a serious note.

This morning, I was awaken by a beep on my iPhone. I thought it was a message informing me that my son’s soccer match was cancelled due to the rain. But I didn’t expect that the beep came from a friend’s daughter who needed some help for her baking!

She got her ipod touch 8 gb from her parents on her last birthday and since, she’s been such a happy gal! Then again, she’s been beeping me on the phone whenever she needs help in her baking. Teens are so fortunate these days. I was told that some of the teenagers carry an iPhone to Uni – how nice of their parents! My son has been asking me if he can have an iPod for his birthday… I’m just wondering if I can find a reason to say ‘no’

Shopping for a gift for someone you don’t know very well can be hard and I’m caught in that situation this week.

We had to buy a gift for a friend’s husband and though we hardly know this couple, we were invited to his birthday party. Since he likes drinking beer, I thought we should order couple of beer mugs for him. This should be a nice gift since we can personalized them with his name on it. I believe this is better than a food hamper where people can finish the food and not remember who bought the gift for them!

We are going on a trip to Bunya in two days’ time and I just didn’t expect to pack so many things for a four day trip!

It’s our first time so I am not sure what to expect. I was asking the property manager about internet connection and antennas so that I can better prepare myself. It looks like we need to pack as much as we can cos this is an outdoor place where not many stores can be found. It sure will make a good family holiday since we will be spending lots of quality time together!

Summer time is here for those who live in the northern hemisphere and it must be nice when it’s also school holidays too!

There are many people who love to suntan but we all know about the harmful effects of sun tanning. Well do you know that there is this thing called tan towel? I was surprised to hear about it cos it’s something new for me but it’s a pretty cool idea, I think to myself. Since I have tanned skin to begin with, I won’t need that for sure but I know that alot of people would like to have that for an instant tan look!
