Packing All Over 0

Posted on December 08, 2010 by dorischua

After one long month of packing and working with the movers, the house was finally cleared and we are officially out of our house of 11 years.

I was feeling a little sentimental in the beginning but I’m also filled with excitement towards the new beginning. In the last few days of my shopping spree, I’m going to buy something I really like and hopefully it won’t add too much weight to my baggage. I was looking at some neos overshoes for hubby and some cosmetic pouches for my own collection. It feels nice to know that I’m all packed up and ready to go! I’m just glad that the residence we are currently staying still allows me to run errands online.

Tomorrow with be my second last day to go to the mall. It’s going to be a good one for me. My second last day here in KL.

Car Insurance and More 0

Posted on December 03, 2010 by dorischua

One of the key ways to avoid a car accident is for you, as a driver, to really pay attention to the task at hand. Commit to not multi-tasking as you drive, especially on busy roads or through crowded intersections. Keep your cell phone turned off or get one of those new headphones that allows your hands to remain on the wheel as you talk. And don’t even attempt to read a book or to glance through the newspaper as you drive to work as I see too many drivers doing. Women are often driving and applying last touches to their makeup all the time. Avoid these and other distractions as you drive. The more you are focused on driving alone, the less likely it is that you will get into a car accident.

You may want to check out on a good cheapest car insurance to help yourself. Another obvious but important way to avoid a car accident is to obey all of the road rules and traffic signals. It is far less likely that you will wind up in a car accident if you are obeying the speed limit. Yes, the speed limit. How many of us drive under or at the speed limit in every situation? Hardly any I would say. If you can slow down a few miles per hour and avoid a car accident then I’d say it is well worth it.

Shopping Online is Exciting 0

Shopping online for gifts has become such a common affair in our house. In fact, we buy alot of our things online cos we found that we tend to save more money when there’s a promotion.

With the advancement of the internet, it is easy for consumers to check inventory and prices. With that in mind, there is no excuse for anyone who is computer literate not to be a savvy consumer anymore! You can be confident about shopping for unique baby shower gift or any birthday gifts online and usually shipping is free once you spend above a certain amount. It is convenient and secure to buy things online too.

If you haven’t experienced the convenience of shopping online, do a search and experiment and you’ll soon find that it’s time saving and exciting. Just don’t get too carried away!

Shopping Online is Fun 0

Every morning, I woke up to find a long list of emails in the mailbox. I subscribe to many webstores and they often send me promotions and some of these sites are owned by indie designers.

Lately, I’m eyeing on an eco friendly Freitag iPhone cover. I like the fact that it’s made of recycled material and the designs reflect the indie movement that is unique and innovative. There is so much fun shopping online and you can find from the most exquisite designs to all kinds of top diet pills. Sometimes I get too carried away with all the online stores that I tend to spend too much time in front of the computer.

If you like luxury items, another cool site (by invitation) is Reebonz dot com. Though they aren’t indie per se, sometimes there are promotions and discounts by indie or creative designers. Whatever it is, it will satisfy the appetite of those who love to shop at the comforts of their home.

No New Clothing 0

Posted on October 20, 2010 by dorischua

My hubby often finds it hard to accept my high expenditure on clothing and shoes. It’s hard to justify why I need more new shoes and dresses and pants and he just doesn’t understand how retail therapy is good for women!

Well, I did some window shopping after my hair cut today and was surprised to see so many different types of acne products in the pharmacy. I was going to find one to zap out the pimple that pops on my forehead and I didn’t know that shopping for one simple item can be confusing. I suppose it’s probably easier to make and concoct my own remedy since I have no idea what works for me.

Hubby should be happy that after shopping for an hour, I’m home empty handed and thus no new clothing for this month. I can see the smiles on his face when I step into the house! How evil is that!

Under the Weather 0

I’ve been under the weather since Sunday and I feel like my body is crashing. First it was my son who got sick and I had been nursing him for a few nights. Now that he’s almost recovered, it’s me who caught the virus and I can’t wait to get better again.

The packing continues at home as we prepare for our move and it’s hard to do much when I’m having a fever and cold. My eyes just wouldn’t stay opened and I want to lie in bed all day. I was supposed to go shopping for some digital scales with hubby for his new restaurant but I’m just too ill to go anywhere. With all the remedies and medicines, I know for sure that I and going to feel better and will be bouncing back to life in no time. Chase that bug away! I don’t need it to stay!

A Week of Routine 0

Posted on October 02, 2010 by dorischua

While packing away some old clothes in preparation of my move, I picked out some indie clothing and it brought me back to the good old times where I wore funky and individualistic fashion.

Things have changed since and now, I’ve become a mom! Life is very much like a routine except for some yells and screams along the way. Every weekend is one that is filled with my child’s extra curriculum classes and sometimes I wonder when they will end! On top of that, I try to spend some time with friends and doing outdoor things so it’s like a week that never ends. Tomorrow, I have to finish a project but first, I would need to search for a scanning software!

Ok for now, I need to get ready for a children’s party and seriously, I look forward to lying on my bed and surfing on my iPad!

Everybody likes good deals and as online shopping becomes more popular among the among the affluent, people can get more for their money.

When you shop online, always check if the site is secure and if possible, search for customers’ reviews before you make any purchases. Whatever you plan to buy, search online to find the best prices and sometimes your savings can be huge. People like to buy apidexin cheap online and these days, more health products are available online. I have been shopping for my vitamins and minerals from trusted sites and find that my savings is substantial.

For those who love indie clothing, you can shop online as there are more choices and options. Shopping online does save alot of time and it’s simple and convenient. Just don’t overspend or go overboard with your spending!

Better Skin Soon 0

Posted on September 21, 2010 by dorischua

My skin is peeling after my beach vacation and I’m regretting not slabbing on enough sunblock before I head to the beach.

My hubby is not so concerned about these things but for me, I don’t like a patchy look on my skin cos I can’t wear my favourite tank tops for a while till the new skin appears. Some people doesn’t mind cheap tanning lotion as long as they get a nice tan. But with a tanned skin already, I tend to stay under the shade whenever possible.

I won’t be heading to the beach for obvious reasons and I’ll be exfoliating my skin more often to get a better look soon.

A Look at Hanoi 0

Posted on September 21, 2010 by dorischua

Hanoi is such a popular place for indie travelers and in fact, you can find lots of backpackers in the busy cities.

Though we aren’t on any indie travels this time, it’s fun to explore Hanoi’s culture and various adventures. It took me awhile to get used to the busy streets and I wondered how these motorists can scoot in and out so smoothly without any stress. There is still lots of growth going on in this country and I believe it will progress in the next few years. More and more shopping malls are being built and in no time, there should be more lifestyle and health stores being set up. The modern Vietnamese are already buying things such as hydroxycut online and they are so open to the western influence.

With growth in mind, the country will move on and I’m certain it will develop in a fast pace with more foreign investment opportunities.
