Parenting and Changing Times Comments Off

My son was very excited about buying new school bags in the past until the school has a designated school bag for the students.

As I looked back, I used to look forward to buying new schoolbags every year. My mom would take me to shops and I get to choose what I like. Sometimes when they get too expensive, mom will say ‘no’ and I’ll be disappointed. Kids these days are so privilege that they can to buy expensive and ergonomic school backpacks. In fact, there are trolley ones so that it won’t weigh down on the kids shoulders. This is absolute love and care from the parents, ensuring that their kids are not hurting their posture. Times have certainly changed and even parenting styles have evolved too!

baby shower shopping 0

This weekend, I’m invited to attend a baby shower which led me to some online shopping for handmade baby clothing and accessories. Since baby carriers have been popular among mobile and active moms, they do make great baby shower gifts. I believe a Bob stroller will be great for active moms who like to bring her newborn. Etsy remains a great online stop for handmade stuff and if organic cotton is your fancy, greenloop may be another great online store to grab some eco friendly baby gifts.

pampering time for expectant mum to be 0

babybuds® - Where New Ideas Are Born

Nothing beats a pampering pregnancy gift for the expectant mum to be. While having a chat with my neighbour next door, I could see the joy on her face as she’s expecting her first child. It was nice to hear the excitement in her voice. Her loving hubby took her shopping for pregnancy clothing, baby stuff, pregnancy books, baby journals and baby essentials.

As a surprise for her, she was asked to pick one of the Festina watches as a love gift. I thought that was a sweet gesture.

A Mum to be Gift Set is a wonderful way to spoil the mum-to-be. The gift set above includes one white baby sock rosebud and includes a few chocolates for a little indulgence. Also included in the giftset are 2 essential lotions from Absolute Essentials:

Pregnancy Body Balm (100ml): A safe and pleasant smelling balm for mothers to be. Great to massage all over your body, especially when your back gets tired from carrying the additional weight. Leaves your skin soft & subtle while also protecting you from the appearance of stretchmarks. Safe to use daily.

Birth Time Calm: Not knowing what’s going to happen & how it’s going to turn out, the family-to-be needs all the support possible. Add 5 drops to a diffuser before &/or during birth, repeat as often as required. Creates a calm and focused atmosphere without causing sleepiness.

the mommy journey 0

This week, I’ll be meeting an overseas friend who is due to have her baby in four months’ time. I am excited to see her ballooning tummy since we haven’t met for a couple of years. Being an expectant mom can be a fun experience. When embraced positively, the journey can be rewarding and memorable. It is a very feminine moment, a time that should be treasured and cherished.

As the lady prepares herself for the arrival of the newborn, she should be shopping for maternity wear and baby clothing. There are lots of indie designers who specialized in creating clothing lines for pregnant moms and babies. But amidst the shopping and preparation, the mom to be may have come across health literature on stem cells and cord blood banking too. Cryo-Cell Innovative Stem Cell Solutions unveils the importance of stem cells service and explain how umbilical cord blood can be used to treat over 70 diseases. The company is offering its Cryo-Cell’s “Protect Baby, Protect Mom” combo service for families who consider this healthcare investment to safeguard the emergence of regenerative medical therapies. You can read more about the “Protect Baby, Protect Mom” Special Limited-Time Introductory Offer, and find out how much you can save with the package.

Being an active and mobile mom, I couldn’t go anywhere without my Baby Bjorn Carrier. I had a baby sling given to me as a gift but somehow, I just didn’t quite get a hang on it. But if I ever have a no.2, the Moby Wrap wrap will be one baby carrier I will try.
