Keeping Diet in Check Comments Off

Posted on August 31, 2011 by dorischua

Every time I speak to my friends, they seem to place their discussion in the food category. As a matter of fact, many of us love to eat and some of us do understand that moderation is the key to eating.

In the past, I used to skip breakfast but I realized that it’s bad for my stomach and I developed acid reflux in my later years. There was a time where I would go on diet and read best diet pill reviews to keep my weight in check. I believe there are people who need to take diet pills to help them but for me, I wasn’t overweight or anything, I was just obsessed about reaching that desired weight. These days, I eat moderately and that has helped me alot and once a while, i would put myself in a diet program to rest that body of mine.

Getting Protected for Your Family Comments Off

Today I received a piece of sad news about an old friend who had passed away few months ago. I felt sad and wondered how would be the future of his two young kids.

I am not sure if he had any form of health insurance bought before his passing. These days, people have the flexibility to find out more about insurance online and you can search information from sites such as www.wholesaleinsurance.net to learn more. Getting an insurance protection is good especially if you have kids and your family can be assured that they are taken care of should anything unfortunate happen.

Sending Cards Online Comments Off

This is a busy month for me as I will be sending out numerous birthday cards to a list of close friends.

A friend of mine has just announced of her pregnancy and very soon, I’ll be helping her with her baby shower invitations. Sending and ordering cards is so easy with today’s online technology. I can remember how troublesome it was in the past when I had to get a friend who lived in the US to send them to me. But these days, I am happily ordering my cards online and there’s no more excuse not to send any greetings now!

Pet for Kids Comments Off

My little boy has been asking us for a pet and we told him that he can have one when he is old enough to care for his puppy.

A friend of mine bought a dog for his girl when she was seven years old and it was a bad decision. She was too young to look after pets at that age and her poor dog was suffering from all kinds of stress including fleas, mange
and all kinds of skin problems. I personally feel that her parents should know that she’s too young to care for her pet at that age and the pet gift had done more harm than good for the family. It’s a sad thing for the kids too!

Craft for Little Ones Comments Off

Most children like to get involved with art and craft at some point of their childhood. Children are curious beings who like to explore and try new things. It’s hard to keep a new thing away from little ones.

I have a big collection of papers and craft materials that I collect and accumulate over the years and I like to look at them once in a while. I used to collect metal punch, ink stamps and stencils. It’s nice exploring with various craft tools. I hope that one day I can inspire my little one to get his hands on craft. It’s much better than electronic stuff all the time.

Mom’s Birthday Gift Comments Off

Posted on August 06, 2011 by dorischua

This is the second time I have been away from mom for a long time. In the past, I would still go home to see her every 2-3 months but now that we had moved down under, I have not seen her for eight months!

Her birthday is coming soon. I’ve been thinking what should I get for her big day. Since I can’t be home celebrating with her, I thought I could send flowers from ProFlowers and it would be a nice surprise for her. Though she isn’t into flowers, it would be a nice gesture for her. I’m not sure if she would appreciate it but maybe a flower hamper might be a good balance as there would be something she can remember from the gift!
