I have always been told that I have good skin except for some congestion on my nose. But whenever the beauty therapist looks at my eyes, she always asks if I have sufficient sleep.

Well, I grew up with puffy eyes and it got worse when I became a graphic design student. The busy and irregular hours of a designer makes my dark circles under eyes worse so it’s even uglier! Well, I had tried so many treatments and it seems that the best would still be getting a good sleep. Having a good sleep means sleeping earlier too and not overworking. I’m trying to turn in early these days and I find that I’m feeling better with this adjustment. Plus I’m not getting very young anymore!

As I grow older, I am more careful about health maintenance as I believe that we should take great care of our bodies. Starting from this year, I told myself that I would be more active and not sit around for too long.

Living an active lifestyle isn’t enough. I am determined to eat properly and healthily. Last Friday, I took time off to go for a pampering session at a massage centre. It was a good massage though I realized that it was therapy that I needed.

I always like to relax in a spa when I have the opportunity but sometimes it’s just not possible with my daily busy schedule. The stress levels can be high though I’m thankful that it’s better than few years ago. Sometimes some of the massage centres have nice spa covers and I wonder where they get them. I’m hoping for another vacation why I can do some self pampering. Everyone deserves a break every now and then, don’t they?

Today was a busy day for us as we invited some rellies to our house for lunch. We’ve been here for three months and it is our first open house.

So this morning, i woke up early to do some chores and prepare the house for the small gathering. I moved my large mirror upstairs and realized that I needed a non slip mat for it. I should have bought one yesterday but there was just too much on my mind. After the chores, I had to warm up the food for the party and hubby was busy preparing the appetizer and snacks. I’m glad the gathering turned out well and the guests liked the food. We had a good time and it is always nice to catch up with rellies once a while!

In the last few days, I had made quite a lot of purchases online. My husband was kinda shocked when I told him that I ordered one kilo of dried longans from Chiang Mai. He couldn’t believe I’m shopping at home so much these days!
