Big on Gifts or Not 0

Posted on January 28, 2011 by dorischua

Hubby is never big on special occasions such as Valentine’s Day or Christmas but sometimes he can be spontaneous.

His birthday is coming soon and I’m scratching my head on what to get him. It can be hard finding him a gift cos he prefers to buy his own most of the time. But I saw a hanging mobile in the markets the other day and thought it made a good gift for him. He’s not one of those who will surprise me with allesandra lingerie valentines gifts but I know he loves me and needs some time to learn gifting. For me, it’s nice to remember the occasion but it doesn’t need to be extravagant or flashy just to show the other person how much you care.

Looking Forward to Tomorrow 0

Though it’s just the start of the year, I’m already looking through the calendar and planning the possible vacations for 2011.

I had tea with a good friend the other day and she was just recollecting the times when her little girl was a young child and now, she’s already looking for a prom dress for her graduation. She had tears rolling down her eyes as she dwelled on those sentimental moments. That was when I realized that time do pass us by very fast so we have to treasure the moments we have.

Tomorrow is a public holiday and we are heading to the markets and the beach. It’s going to be a fun filled day for our family as we explored a different place on this day. I am so excited about it and I know we will have a really wonderful time!

Settling In the New House Finally 0

Posted on January 20, 2011 by dorischua

Finally we can have a place that calls ‘home’ after weeks of waiting. Our things from the container had arrived and it’s time to start the unpacking. There’ll be lots to do in the coming days and we just have to take one step at a time.

I managed to buy some nice sheets for the house and it seems that I had overbought my tupperware containers before I left. I had trouble finding space for my tupperware containers and I wonder if I really need so much. All I know is that I have enough to last me for a lifetime and I won’t be buying! I though it would be nice to shop around for table fountains for our lounge area but first, we need to unpack and organize whatever we have in our house.

School will start tomorrow and it won’t be long we can start our normal routine!

Losing Fat in the Belly 0

Posted on January 20, 2011 by dorischua

My hubby has been very diligent in his exercise regime every morning and I’m actually very proud of him.

He does his jogs every morning and yesterday I just noticed that he looks trimmer and less frumpy. He is so happy about his progress as well. Many people always wonder how to get rid of belly fat and they do all kinds of exercise but realize that their tummy is still fatty. Maybe they have to change their diet and switch to healthier options opposed to foods that are high in saturated fat. Choosing the right foods is not just about losing belly fat but it’s good for the heart as well.

What decisions have you made in 2011 to feel and look better?

Put in Efforts to Lose Weight 0

Posted on January 20, 2011 by dorischua

Since being here in Australia, my husband has been very diligent in going for his regular jogs and runs and i can see that he’s losing the weight he desires.

Sometime people refused to sacrifice to get what they want and they just keep wondering do diet pills work. I believe they can work if the person taking them puts in the efforts and do the necessary to see change. Other than that, it would just be wishful thinking and nothingness will be the end result.

So if you desire to lose weight this year, it’s time to set goals and do your best to work towards a better weight management program for the better of your health.

New Start New Home 0

After a few weeks of living in a serviced apartment, I’m glad we can now settle down in our own place.

Even though it’s not our own house, it’s a cozy one and I’m thankful. The stores are having lots of clearance sale and i managed to grab dome good bargains. I’m hoping to find some nice evening dresses but its hard to find one my size.

School starts in a week’s time and I can’t wait to settle my boy back in his new school. I’m sure he will enjoy a new beginning there.

Shopping for Cameras 0

Posted on January 15, 2011 by dorischua

It’s our fourth weekend in Brisbane and I’m feeling that I’m in need of some real retail therapy.

I have to say that that I’m liking it here and I appreciate the spaces around me. Though we are just renting i like where we are and thank God for all that we have. I might drop by the electrical store to check out some olympus cameras since hubby had conquered my canon. I would like to get one with underwater functions so that I can take photos when we are at the beach or pool.

I’ll better compare some reviews before heading to the store. It’s always better to gather some knowledge before making any purchase decisions.

Happy with My New Camera 0

Posted on January 03, 2011 by dorischua

I am so glad that I bought my new nikon D7000 last month before moving to brisbane and it’s been serving me very well.

After months of research in the web and reading lots of camera reviews, I concluded that the D7000 is a good camera to buy and I’m so glad I got it at a good price. I haven’t had much time to explore the new functions but I hope to do more in the coming months. Perhaps I should join a community so that I can improve my camera skills and upgrade my knowledge in the area. With the weather clearing up, the photos are going to look better and I’m just so excited to capture new scenes.

In Light with New year 0

As the new year begins, many are seeking new jobs as the holidays is over.

Some of my friends are looking for some banking jobs after being stuck in some boring technical work for some years. As for us, we are starting our new company that involves online marketing and consulting. In every business, networking is key so my hubby will be doing lots of that in the next few months.

In relation to the economy, I hope that things get better this year and employment improves across the board in all sectors. Things haven’t been too rosy in 2010 but I trust that it will get better this year.

Grabbing Last Minute Sales 0

Posted on January 03, 2011 by dorischua

I can see that many people were out on boxing day for big bargains and it’s just crazy out there. We went a little late to the stores and realized that most of the good buys were gone!

Hubby was happy that he grabbed some good buys from the mountain outdoor adventure store and he was hoping that he can get a pair of polo boots during this sale period. I got myself a few nice winter wear at good prices and it will be useful during my ski holidays in Melbourne next June. Tomorrow we will be out shopping in the city and I hope to grab some last bargains before the sale ends.
