Flowers for the Season 0

Posted on December 26, 2010 by dorischua

No matter how small or big our gifts are this Christmas, what matters most is the thought and heart that counts.

There are many languages of love and for some people, receiving gifts is a way to show and express love. I used to like all kinds of roses especially red roses bundled together in a big bouquet. They are romantic and comforting. Very sensual and attractive and it will impress any recipient, old or young. I wish my hubby reads this as it’s been a long time since he bought me any roses.

So if you are running out of gift ideas for someone you care about this Christmas, order a bouquet of flowers for him or her. It will sure impress.

Shopping for Christmas 0

Women can never get enough of beauty and skincare products. My hubby thinks I spend too much time on my skin and body but I don’t agree.

As I was shopping in the mall for some christmas gifts, I came across lots of christmas gift sets and everyone seems to be outdoing each other. Even for those with skin issues, you can find md clear gift sets to help improve your skin condition. There is indeed something for everyone. Maybe I should get a fragrance set for my hubby since I haven’t gotten him anything.

It’s just one more week and it’s Christmas… it’s time to for some last minute shopping!

Settling Down for a House 0

Posted on December 18, 2010 by dorischua

Since we are moving into a new place, we have been busy with house inspections the last few days. It has been a fun and exciting time for us as we hunt for a house and a car.

After looking at houses in selected suburbs, we like those with glass tile kitchen and the ones with doors that open to a nice bush view. But we know that we can’t have the best of all worlds so we settle for a townhouse. With a townhouse, we have less to think about and therefore, don’t have to worry much about maintenance. But the air is cleaner here in Brisbane, there won’t be much cleaning needed except for a regular maintenance.

With a house settled, it’s down to planning for a short vacation after Christmas.

Mobile Traveling 0

It has become a norm that people are traveling around with laptops and mobile devices these days. Communication is so vital to all of us whether or not we are business people or not. In the past, you only get the business people traveling around with laptops but these days, travelers on leisure are doing the same.

I was shopping around for some laptop sleeves and came across some new models of netbooks. I thought a mimio would be nice for me to move around with but first I need to convince my husband why I need it!

This is going to be a busy week as we settle down for a home before the Christmas bells are ringing among holiday makers. I can’t wait to settle down soon!

Little Ways for a New Look 0

Posted on December 11, 2010 by dorischua

There are many ways to decorate a new home and it doesn’t require big funds to do that. We have been thinking of renovating our living room for a long time but due to budget constraints, the plans have been shelved.

Finally a friend recommended that we get rid of clutter and add a few changes to our home to improve the interiors. We bought a big agnes sleeping bag and a few new rugs and did a new coat of paint ourselves. With these little efforts, our living space is looking new now and I’m glad we don’t have to spend a fortune just to get this new look!

Giving with a Heart 0

Christmas is the time where we give and receive gifts. But sometimes it’s hard to find the right gifts for the person you are gifting to.

When choosing gifts, it’s good to take some time to find out what’s suitable for the recipient. I am one person who prefers practical gifts so I will sometimes ask the person her preferences and wishlist. One year, I bought Lipofuze for my sister who was trying to lose weight and she was facing some difficulties. I do agree that there are times it’s hard to shop the right gift when you don’t know that person that well.

As the season of merry is here, what matters most is the heart and not the content of the gift. When there’s a heart, the gift is often more special.

Packing All Over 0

After one long month of packing and working with the movers, the house was finally cleared and we are officially out of our house of 11 years.

I was feeling a little sentimental in the beginning but I’m also filled with excitement towards the new beginning. In the last few days of my shopping spree, I’m going to buy something I really like and hopefully it won’t add too much weight to my baggage. I was looking at some neos overshoes for hubby and some cosmetic pouches for my own collection. It feels nice to know that I’m all packed up and ready to go! I’m just glad that the residence we are currently staying still allows me to run errands online.

Tomorrow with be my second last day to go to the mall. It’s going to be a good one for me. My second last day here in KL.

Knowledge base goods like e-books, how-to-reports and hard to find information do well on the Internet drop-ship items are also plentiful on the net. Thanks to the worldwide customer base of the internet finding a manufacturer for any product that you plan to import to your country or export from your country has become a lot easier. If you have expertise, online services related to web design, travel arrangement etc. are also good areas. Internet gambling is also a very good area to investigate.

Running a business requires creativity too. You may want to look into tradeshow giveaways if you are promoting a new product. Nothing beats a free trial and if your product is good, people will come back to you readily.

Car Insurance and More 0

One of the key ways to avoid a car accident is for you, as a driver, to really pay attention to the task at hand. Commit to not multi-tasking as you drive, especially on busy roads or through crowded intersections. Keep your cell phone turned off or get one of those new headphones that allows your hands to remain on the wheel as you talk. And don’t even attempt to read a book or to glance through the newspaper as you drive to work as I see too many drivers doing. Women are often driving and applying last touches to their makeup all the time. Avoid these and other distractions as you drive. The more you are focused on driving alone, the less likely it is that you will get into a car accident.

You may want to check out on a good cheapest car insurance to help yourself. Another obvious but important way to avoid a car accident is to obey all of the road rules and traffic signals. It is far less likely that you will wind up in a car accident if you are obeying the speed limit. Yes, the speed limit. How many of us drive under or at the speed limit in every situation? Hardly any I would say. If you can slow down a few miles per hour and avoid a car accident then I’d say it is well worth it.

On Skin and Beauty 0

You can consider exfoliating like using very fine sandpaper for your skin. You will be using a mildly abrasive material that buffs away dead skin cells, leaving glowingly healthy skin in its place.

Exfoliating has several benefits. First, old dead skin cells making your complexion dull are scrubbed off, leaving new fresh skin cells. Additionally, after exfoliation, it is easier for skin to absorb moisturizers and other skin treatments. A good intake of protein powder is said to be helpful.

If your complexion is normal to oily, exfoliating is helpful three to four times a week. For drier skin, exfoliation should only be done one to two times a week maximum. You should establish a skincare routine that includes all of these products, and adds a cleaner and moisturizer. You will keep your skin healthy far longer and feel better as well.
