After a long thought, I finally overcome my fears and signed up for a swimming class. It was a personal breakthrough for me!
I have now completed three lessons and am excited for a new class every week. If only I have a pool at home, I would be able to enjoy some family time on pool floats on the weekends! But seriously, I am glad I took the step to learn how to swim.
We are already ending the month of March and it’s amazing how time slips us by. This quarter, I have accomplish much for my health goals and as far as work goals are concerned, I’m on the right track too. So moving forward, I still have alot of work to do for this blog and hopefully I can get it going by next month.

Everyone is riding on the Earth Hour hype this week and what is your take about this? The indie community has long been doing their bit to save the earth but producing environmentally friendly products.
There are many indie designers who work on recycled materials and using them to create pieces of art and unique designs. You can see them everywhere now from an online etsy store to an offline flea market. Indie designers are getting more talented as technology emerges. You can buy netbooks covers and skins designed by indie artists and handmade jewelry by indie designers at Etsy. Though some may cost a little more, you can be rest assured that your design purchases are attached with a touch of uniqueness and individuality.
Support indie.

My hubby thought I was crazy but I actually spent couple of hours looking for eco swim wear this morning. First it was indie swim wear then I realized that it wouldn’t be too feasible to find anything like that. Finally, I chose something simple from a bikinis website.
Even though organic living is becoming popular, I have still yet to find organic swim wear anywhere. Organic cotton clothing can be a little dearer since the cost of manufacturing is higher. But if you are passionate about organic living, then you would opt for organic cotton anyhow. Indie clothing designers are the same. Some wouldn’t wear mass produced or international label clothing. They would rather choose originality from indie clothing and stay simple and creative.
At the end of the day, it’s a personal choice of style and fashion, not forgetting what works well for you in the long run.

Who wouldn’t like to jump on special offers and discount promotions? When I heard that there is an indie clothing sale going on in the neighbour, I was up early in the morning for the activity.
I love shopping in indie markets and fairs cos most of the exhibited products are as original as they can be. Though you may not buy them on Sale but you know they are original and you won’t catch anyone wearing the same top as you when you walk down the streets.
Indie clothing can be unique and creative and usually, they are crafted with alot of care and thoughts. Amidst the talk on credit and budget, it’s probably good to go indie and avoid spending on expensive items in the malls.

I just got news that a dear friend is tying the knot this coming August. For someone who designs indie clothing for a living, I thought she might be designing her own gown or bridal dress!
It is exciting to prepare for a wedding. I can still recall that time when i went shopping for diamond engagement ring with my then fiance. We ladies can be fussy when it comes to picking the right jewelry and infact, I wanted mine to be customized and handcrafted by an indie artist then. The quotation blew me off and I finally settled for a decent and affordable diamond ring.
Perhaps, some with the talents can design indie diamond jewelry for the wedding industry. This would be a nice and great niche to have…. as long as you have the talent to deliver.

The internet is a vast of information for everyone of all ages. People use it to search from indie clothing to indie music, from organic living forum to outdoor forums.
Personally, I used it both for leisure and work. For business, it’s used for research and lots of promotional activities. For leisure, it’s for my passion in indie clothing, health matters, exercise, fitness and more. Basically, the search engines are powerful enough to bring back any kind of information and material you need including online videos, photos, chatting and social networking.
What do you use the internet for?

I’m getting so exasperated from finding the righ niche for this blog. It looks like I may settle for indie fashion or something along the eco friendly line since many indie artists are great supporters of eco living.
Green style, green living, indie living, indie style – they all seem to belong together. I came across this great green lifestyle site and many of the green clothing are designed by indie artists. Their love for the environment combined with their creativity sets high standards for indie fashion.
If you like to see more of green lifestyle clothing and stuff with a touch of indie, check it out right here. For more, it’s back to my wireless security systems research for our new office… the weekends are coming!

This is the time when everyone is careful with expenses and budget in most households. Perhaps, it is a good time to learn some hand skills so that you can sew your own or make your own crafts. Even when times are challenging, it is still possible to earn a living with creative ideas.
Whenever I get a chance to travel, I like to visit local flea markets to look out for artistic creations and crafts. I tend to find lots of indie clothing, indie jewelry and crafts and much to my delight, they are often unique and hard to find.
After purchasing my international travel insurance online, I’m looking forward to visit Thailand in a month’s time. This is one Asian city that is full of indie crafts especially home and decor items. The indie clothing by the Thais tend to incorporate the luxury thai silk which is beautiful and unique.
Hopefully I can purchase some indie jewelry as souvenir gifts for my friends back here.

I took a break this morning to check out the property market before continuing my research into my indie site search.
With the current credit situation, it seems that landowners are offering wholesale lots at good deals. Though we won’t be purchasing our property till later but it’s good to know what’s going on in the market.
It seems that the indie music market will continue to grow no matter what the current market situation is. As far as art is concerned, there’s no stopping for those who are passionate about indie arts and design. So hopefully by next week, the niche for my indie site will unfold.

My hubby gave me a wonderful idea of what I can do to make this site an interesting one. Since the word ‘indie’ is often used among indie music and indie artists, he’s suggesting that I should include music related items into my site.
In the next one week, I’ll be researching more of his suggestions besides searching for insurance quote for our family. Though I’m not a musician myself, I’ve always long to learn how to play a guitar or a musical instrument. With so many budding indie artists out there, the world of music will continue to grow no matter how tough times may be. My research for this indie blog continues…
