Yesterday, I had the chance to meddle with a friend’s iPod classic and that was my first time witnessing the user friendliness of this cool gadget. I know it sounds so backward of me to experience the iPod classic for the first time even though I have been a Mac user for more than 20 years.

I suppose the iPod classic is great for those who enjoy entertainment on the go. All you need is this cool gadget and you can do away with all the MP3 players… plus, you can store photos, videos and lots of other personal entertainment stuff in the iPod. iPod classic, iPod nano or iPod touch… these three gadgets are running through my memory bank and I won’t be surprised I will get one of these by this year!

In just one week’s time, we are into the second month of 2009 – how fast! I believe most people are still working out on their new year resolutions and the ladies are probably finding out ways to get in shape like reading about diet stuff, female fat burner and fitness plans.

As for me, I’m thinking about launching an indie music store in months to come. It will be great to promote indie music and encourage more indie artists to share their talents to those who appreciate indie music and art. As such, I’ll be researching into this area in the next few months and gather the resources to help me get started.

When I was young, I dreamt about being a singer and in fact, I wanted to be a star, a celebrity! But the desire to be a star diminished after I began attending church in my late teenage years though I was exposed to lots of worship songs at that time.

My dream to be a singer did come to past though it wasn’t for fame and popularity but more of a service to God. Perhaps one day, I would like to compose my own songs and for that to happen, I would need to pick up a musical instrument. Since this is the start of a new year, it may be a good time to pick up some musical lessons to fulfill this desire some day. Who knows, I may just be an indie musician some day… it’s all about passion and determination. These are the key characteristics if you want to pursue a dream and realize it. Start your year well.

In the last few days, I have been searching online and reading reviews on netbooks. Basically, I was looking at the notebook computer memory, overall weight, battery life and connectivity features as the main features. With price point as another important concern, it was hard to decide.

Most of the netbooks are good for people on the go and for web surfing purposes but don’t count on it for complex usage. Depending on the netbook I chose, I would need to hop to Etsy to pick the right netbook cover. I just have to decide which one is best in the next few days.

This is one site where I can find lots of nice handmade jewelry from artisans from all over the world. Even though it’s hard to resist the little blue box and white ribbon, I still find handmade gemstone jewelry appealing and attractive. As personal as they can be, it has more character than the mass produced designer ones you get in the malls and popular stores. Then again, it’s all about your personal preferences and likes. In any case, it’s always nice to go indie this new year.
