Ten years ago, I was all set up to learn bear making so that I could surprise my boyfriend with a hand sewn bear. After three months, I crafted my first bear for his birthday. I was proud of myself that I actually made a bear though I never did completed my second bear - the motivation wasn’t strong anymore. I guess my passion wasn’t strong enough too!

When I saw this Bridger Bear a Montana Ted at Etsy (by EastBenchBears), I was reminded of how meaningful it was to give a handmade bear for a gift. Though they may not be ideal toys for younger kids, they are sure to charm girls and teens. I have to agree that bridger bear was birthed in a beautiful place as shown in the picture above. If you care to adopt her, head down to EastBenchBears store.

I was almost fooled to think that this is a cup of real tea. It is tempting for tea lovers to make a first sip until you realize that it is a nice candle sitting in a china tea cup. For a touch of nice fragrance and to add therapeutic benefits to this cup of tea, request for a scent of your choice when you place your order at Dawanda.com. From the store of http://en.dawanda.com/shop/flurogoddess. Candles for home and living are no longer what they used to be in the past. It’s all about creativity for the proud home owners who like a difference to the home decor.

When I am feeling tired on a long and hectic day, all I want is to sit back, take a nice hot shower, make myself a cup of peppermint tea and light an aromatic candle in my bedroom. Sometimes, I would make myself a simple salad or cook a low fat and healthy meal before slumbering with a good article or magazine.
Just the other night, an article in CNNmoney.com highlights the breakthrough in women’s health. I believe some of you may have read about women’s menstrual blood and its potential of being used for future therapies in serious illnesses. This stem cell service is provided by C’elle who seeks to empower all women to take charge of her health in today’s modern world. C’elle Client Testimonial reports on many happy customers who have purchased the service and have their menstrual fluid collected in a non-invasive process. It is definitely good news to hear that women can play such a role in medical breakthrough using part of their being.

Loveseat? Wow - what a name! I don’t know if I would wanna squeeze into this comfy looking seat with my other half but the design of this set of Cloud Loveseat from Modernica is excellent! I love the autumn green and curvy aesthetics which reflects the modernity taste of lounging and relaxing. Seat back and enjoy your home theater on a weekend - just make sure your LCD is well secured with a quality TV wall mount.

Everybody has various interests, hobbies and passions. Some prefer to relax with a book and others prefer to get out there and play some sports on a summer’s day. With the long weekend coming up, my friends are planning to take a group trip to the beach. Heading to the beach with friends is sure the way to enjoy the weekends this summer.
This summer, alot of my indie designer friends are taking a break from their crafting, painting, sewing and designing. A couple is making plans to head down to The Caribbean for one of the cool all inclusive resorts for a real romantic getaway. With all inclusive vacations, you can eat and drink to your heart’s content without worrying about more bills to sign off. Choose from negril jamaica resorts to Bahamas to Dominican Republic. I can’t wait to hear about their pick and their travel itinerary for this summer vacation.
Happy Independence Day.

I can’t enough of beautiful fabrics. When I first moved back home after my graduation, I had to unpack several moving boxes of handmade papers and unique fabrics. They were beautiful materials I had collected during my time away from home.

At Etsy.com today, I came across amy butler’s fabrics used by many indie sewers, craft makers and designers. Besides the usual bags, totes, bedding and pillow cases, her beautiful fabrics were made into baby changing pads, baby bibs and children’s clothing. This reminds me that I should check out her new line for some home remodeling projects this summer

Have you ever paid good attention to what the nursing or medical staff are wearing in your healthcare centers? Sometimes, I wonder why the medical and nursing uniforms I see in our local hospitals are so dull looking. Whether you agree or not, a nice scrub top can project a positive image for the company since first impression counts most of the time. The scrub tops at Scrubs and Beyond are unique and stylish with various designs such as cross over or wrap styles. Read the rest of this entry →
