little sparrow for baby 0

Posted on April 27, 2008 by dorischua

We were having a wonderful coffee session in our neighbour’s house since she was excited to serve us coffee with her new capresso machine. We then started talking our baby’s shoes and how cute they are. Being an indie supporter herself, I came to know about Jolibebe through her and was shown this lovely pair Little Sparrow Baby Shoes. These little shoes are made with a sweet brown fabric with little green sparrows on it at the front and chocolate brown cotton fabric for the heel, sole and strap. The shoes are fully lined with a soft yellow cotton flannelette fabric, with all seams hidden so they are comfortable on baby’s delicate skin. You can find Jolibebe at Dawanda.com

contemporary art with lulu 0

Who is not drawn by colours and creativity? It is refreshing, enlightening and inspiring! I always love contemporary and modern art. My husband always wonder why I spend all that time hunting for unique Thermal labels while he would just settle for anything on the shelf.

If you are just like me, then don’t pass the colourful jewelry crafted by Lulu Smith. Simplicity and colours are the distinct styles of Lulu, a creative colorist whose work features sensual, haphazardly poured color, some are complex, conceptual and exotic, while some just make you smile from the simple, happy visual impact. it’s earth day tomorrow 0

Posted on April 22, 2008 by dorischua

I’ve been terribly busy in the last couple of weeks. Work is piling up during this time of year and I haven’t had much time to do my blogging. Besides, I have to help a friend who is looking for a bus for sale while booking our accommodation in advance for New Year’s eve.

But I haven’t forgotten that it’s Earth Day tomorrow and this is when I’m reminded by what I saw at Eka website few days ago. For those of you who live in Australasia, you may wanna clothe yourselves with one of these lovely Hayworth Beret and mittens set. Made of 90% acrylic 10% wool, they look absolutely gorgeous on a cold wintry outing, helping you to stay in style while keeping you warm.

cool discovery from chocolate and steel 0

It’s another cool discovery from dawanda.com, one of my favourite indie marketplaces. Designed and handmade by Chocolate and Steel, this beautiful pendant and necklace was inspired by the view outside her window. Like me, designer Christine loves seeing all of the new Spring growth cos that’s a symbol of new life.

Her designs usually reflect alot of what she sees outdoors as she enjoys her time with her boy – birds, butterflies, rain, flowers, grass, sky…. so why the name Chocolate and Steel? This is because it combines opposites…organic and industrial, soft and hard, sweet and bitter and that is what she tries to do in her work. Christine loves to combine materials and subjects in unexpected ways. Actually, I would love to consider using some of her lovely jewelry as promotional products for our corporate clients.

I like the concept of Eka, especially after learning about its support towards fair trade communities which helps to promote eco-friendly fashion to the consumers. You can find a nice range of head gear, scarves and hats, iPod cases and laptop cases in the online store. This new hayworth beret is one pretty addition in the spring 08 collection. It’s currently out of stock so keep a lookout if you like to grab one in the coming weeks. I do hope that they can add more pouches and cases to their store for my CAT6, adaptors and wire cables.

all kinds of sunglasses 0

Sunglasses can be an important acceossory for fashionistas, celebrities, beach goers, sports man, travelers, sun worshippers…etc. While some people may use it purely for function while celebrities like Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt follow fashion trends or styles to align with their branding image. While fashion works very much like a clock, the vintage sunglasses are back again with a vengeance and fashionistas use them for style and fun which make them a fashion fad that never seems to fade away.

marine charm and personalized jewelry 0

It’s all about being unique and personal when it comes to customized jewelry these days. I truly admire the works of indie designers who focus on originality and creative handiwork in their creations. When I first saw the jewelry collection of Amanda Jo – it was her marine collection that charmed my heart. Then I went on to discover that this talented lady did more with charms and stuff and her recent Meniscus collection allowed you to include your own photo or image into a pendant or a set of earrings. That means you can have the photo of your pet, your child or special someone on the jewelry, wear it around your neck or give them as gifts for your special friends.
