Lots of indie artists and designers draw inspiration from art and nature and owner of Blue Wild Indigo, Carolina Graber, is one of them. I also agree with Carolina that whether it’s costume, face painting, tattoos, or jewelry, we often look to nature for our materials and our inspiration. The use of gemstones, shells, wood, silks, and precious metals have long been used to create ornaments for the human man.
Carolina’s designs remind me of the modern lady who loves simplicity and pure elegance, without being loud since accessories should complement the lady and her attire and not call for attention at all. Her jewelry is subtle and timeless which means you can use them for all sorts of occasions, throughout your lifetime, and won’t go out of fashion.

Hmmm… I’m shopping for my a duvet cover for my little boy’s bedding. He’s now into space, planes and rockets so this cute one at Wrapables caught my attention. This Twin Duvet Cover Set includes one twin size duvet cover (86″ x 63″) featuring a pattern of planets and rocketships, and one pillow sham (30″ x 23″, 2″ flange) with an astronaunt in space. All bedding is machine washable and dryable. Do you know that it is made to Öko-Tex environmental standards, a European certification process which ensures that certified textiles do not contain chemicals harmful to human health. There are many other cool and cute duvet cover sets if space exploring is not your kids’ delight.

Shopping for a new home can be an exciting experience. I enjoy creating new spaces for a new home, design the interiors, choose the material, create my cozy corner, pick colours for the walls, shop for furniture, fittings, acessories and plant my favourite plants in my own private garden. My cousin bought us some funny t-shirts that came in the mail today. With her wedding leading up, she’s got lots to do. After spending much time at Viv&Ingrid’s online store, I spotted a few lovely jewelry pieces that would be perfect for her coming wedding. The stone necklaces are combined with a great sense of thought and creativity with matching earrings and bracelets. The Eden collection features a beautiful 14K gold filled Daisy necklace with smooth, flat mother of pearl daisy pendant and faceted red jade teardrop center. Also available in coral, topaz, emerald jade and onyx teardrop center.

While shopping for indie bedsheets for my mattress topper, i came across viv&ingrid, a lovely online store that sells accessories and a wide array of gifts. What I like about the stuff here is the cute and sweet packaging and presentation of the accessories. For instance, a pair of silver post is mounted on a graphical card. This is the tiniest silver heart post! Heart is flat and measures 3mm and sits on a blue & pink 4-flower card. Even the loop earrings is presented in a Viv&Ingrid’s complementary signature bag.
After reading more about the product info, I came to understand that Viv&Ingrid has always been an environmentally conscious company. You can tell that they are truly into recycling and energy conservation, an issue that is much seen as a growing trend.
From the beginning, Viv&Ingrid adopted a 0% waste policy with all of your signature bags that come with your jewelry. Using mostly remnants and salvaged bolt ends, our tiny bags have often been individually cut out to minimize wastage of fabrics. Ingrid calls it, “No Fabric Left Behind”. Recently, I’ve been thinking of selling some jewelry items online in the coming months in one of my sites. The best way to compare and find out about market pricing and expectations is via the internet. It’s fast, convenient and flexible. One of the concerns I have with selling my items online is the photo presentation aspects since I am not an expert in taking nice product photos. To me, presentation plays an important part in selling a product and a well taken photo can do the job. I just found out about Fotofix, an FotoFix Photo Editing site who can edit your photos at the lowest fee of only $0.99. The .99 cent photo services include few basic editing features whereas the advanced editing will cost more credits. At FotoFix, the services are billed according to credits. After viewing at some photograph retouching examples, I can rather impressed with the results and you can be certain at a quick turnaround time of 24 hours for your photos!

Men and women have differing interests and passions. My hubby enjoys talking about his golf trips and Callaway irons with his buddies and I’ll be sharing the stylish and trendy stuff I found in the web with my pals. This evening, I was introduced to Anne Maa Designs, a very talented fashion designer whose talents were not limited to fashion alone. Her combination of materials in her jewelry collection was elegant and modern, simple and creative. Actually her inspiration for her creations came from the texture, shape and colour of the materials she worked on, which led to a sense of individuality. Find her at http://www.annemaadesigns.com

During the tea party in my aunt’s house, the main topic of discussion had been on revision rhinoplasty Los Angeles and Beverly Hills especially when aunt had just had her botox lately. I supposed this group of mid age ladies had much in common as everyone was lamenting about their wrinkles, crow’s feet and sagging skin. Then they turned their attention to me and ask about the organic cotton and hemp skirt I was clad in.
As much as I couldn’t understand their strong concerns about beauty, they didn’t understand my strong passion for organic cotton clothing. The Scrunch Ankle Free Movement pant/skirt from Gaia Conceptions is one of my faves. It is so versatile that I can leap, hop, jump, dance, shop, kick and do a head stand with it! The most versatile garment ever created by designer Andrea, these pants scrunch up the ankle to give the appearance of a skirt while still maintaining the freedom of a pant. Inspired by her travels through India these pants are designed to move you effortlessly through your day. Oh, and it’s great for expectant moms too!
