checking out greenloop
For the eco-friendly fashionistas out there, you should be familiar with Greenloop, a great place to shop for your green clothing and fashion apparel. Just when you wonder where all the eco designers have gone, greenloop has a whole list of them. This lady in my gym is known for her organic cotton tops and yoga attire. In fact, I love watching her during yoga classes cos she always looks so cool in her yoga poses. While updating myself with the new stuff at Greenloop, I came across Carol Young Undesigned’s trendy clothing for the urban women.
A former architecture student, Carol Young became intrigued with the needs of urban nomads while living abroad in Asia, studying design in NYC and traveling to India and Japan. Taking subways, walking and cycling about town, she found herself seeking clothing that would allow her to move, keep dry and comfortable, but also express her individuality.
Her collection explored the use of recycled-clothing and active wear materials into new urban nomadic apparel. The piece that stood out to me is this green linen and silk gaucho pants. It is groovy and looks so comfy! A wide-legged shape with an embroidered pocket ’sash’ adds flair. As suggested by Carol, you can either wear with a fitted tee and style with a matching accessory, dress up or down as you desire!
