It’s always a thrill for me to discover new indie sites, businesses and blogs. When I came across manic trout, I was inspired of her creativity and artistic flair. She uses simple materials to create beautiful stuff and the result is a masterpiece, a one of a kind handmade accessory for the modern gal or the fashionista who prefers to stand out from the crowd and escape the lure of the latest trends in town.
Her oil paintings are spectacular. She uses mixed media to create the finish and her combination of hues is admirable. Her strong sense of colours led to a series of oil paintings that entices the art lover. Take a look at the Gold Coast, where she used tissue paper, gesso and watercolor to create collages on both canvas and wood that played not only with color, but with texture and the idea of painting with paper. The edges are bordered in tissue paper to create a self bordered finish.
Blues, greens and yellows create an abstract ocean scape that will brighten up any space it enters. Her love for abstracts are reflected in her jewelry collection and I must say that she’s one talented gal!
