I first knew Chu Ling from etsy and was impressed by her creative stained glass pendants sold at her store. We soon became online friends and shared stories with one another about our child’s growing stages. Chu Ling is one talented work at home mom who designs, handcrafts, cuts, grinds, solders, polishes all her jewelry from scratch. Considering the amount of work put into the work and the lovely designs, the price for her unique collection is affordable and infact, one of the cheapest in etsy stores, I believe. It is no wonder that her stuff sells out fast and hopefully she can add more pieces to her store once she finds more time to herself. Here are some of my favourites…

Being an active and mobile mom, I couldn’t go anywhere without my Baby Bjorn Carrier. I had a baby sling given to me as a gift but somehow, I just didn’t quite get a hang on it. But if I ever have a no.2, the Moby Wrap wrap will be one baby carrier I will try.

At the age of 21, I started my own indie business and looking back, I found the journey to be exciting, challenging, fun and inspiring. As an entrepreneur, you need to do all the planning by yourself and that is when the learning curve begins. Read the rest of this entry →

The decision to home school your child can be a difficult one to make. Many parents wonder if it is the right thing to do. Many wonder if their children can get the same “grade” of education if they are homeschooled. Read the rest of this entry →

It’s hard not to fall in love with Andrea’s work, the creative head behind Dreams and Jewelry, an artist with a strong passion for torch firing and kiln work. She loves experimenting with materials and finishes and being a self taught artist, she learns from dozens of books to practice and practice until she gets them right!
This pretty pendant in a pretty deep red color. I have always love red and I wouldn’t mind adding one more red jewelry to my collection! For other unique and rare pendants, necklaces, rings and bracelets, check out Andrea’s dream collection at http://www.dreamsandjewelry.com.

I’ve never heard of Structured Settlements until I read about an article of someone who won a personal injury settlement. Basically, a structured settlement refers to an amount of money paid to the recipient on a monthly basis over a period of few years. The problem is that structured settlement may not be sufficient for the individual should any emergency or financial need arises. Or it can be that there is not enough for medical bills or more money is needed to purchase a new car. Read the rest of this entry →

A friend of mine from Singapore has just started a new business with her hubby since the start of the year. If you are a parent, you will find the party favours at Partridge Pear very enticing and impressive. After all, the birth of your baby is a nice announcement you like to share with families and friends. Being entrepreneurs, they are doing alot of work by themselves and I would classify them as indie business people anytime. The gift packages are of high quality at reasonable prices compared to many merchants. You should also check out their lovely premium photo cards and e-invites which can be customized specially for your little ones.

What is the first thing you do when you want to learn out more about a company or a particular product or service? For me, I will go to the search engines to find what I want. Sometimes I get what I’m searching for and other times, I don’t. Read the rest of this entry →
